The Ugly Duckling

Based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen.

How does a bird start to fly? A bird takes a deep breath and becomes very proud.

Our hero was born on a hot summer day in a duck’s nest in a thicket of burdocks. Among the brood of newborn chicks, so yellow and pretty, he was the only one who turned out to be gray and ridiculous. «Ugly!» — so, everyone in the poultry yard made fun of him. The poor duckling did not know where to hide from all the taunts and pinches. And one day he ran away from the yard to live under open sky. So many misfortunes befell him....

But it not a real trouble to be born in a duck’s nest, if you hatch from a swan egg!
